This policy explains what we collect when you use SchoolKart, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — name, email address, phone number and password.
- Order details — delivery address, receiver name and phone, the school you shop for, items, sizes and amounts.
- Payment details — handled by our payment gateway. Card, UPI and net-banking details are entered on the gateway and are never stored on our servers.
- Usage data — pages viewed and basic device information, used to keep the site working and to improve it.
2. Why we use it
To process and deliver your order, to send order and delivery updates, to answer support requests, to prevent fraud, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
3. Who we share it with
Only with those who help us complete your order: delivery partners (name, address, phone), the payment gateway, and email or SMS providers for order updates. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Marketing
We send offers only if you subscribe to the newsletter. Every message has an unsubscribe option, and order-related messages continue regardless.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember your cart, and to measure how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and sign-in may stop working.
6. How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and tax rules. Account data is kept while your account is open.
7. Your choices
You can view and update your details in My Account → Account Details, remove saved addresses, and ask us to delete your account. Write to us from the Contact page and we will confirm once it is done.
8. Children
Accounts are for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
9. Security
Passwords are stored encrypted, payment keys are encrypted at rest, and access to order data is limited to the store team.
